Programs

Our Programs are all focused  on empowering Children become Environmental Stewards in their communities as a way of fighting Climate Change in Uganda.  Our Programs include;

                                  Schools Tree Planting:

We partner with Schools in Uganda and get children involved in greening their schools as means of fighting Climate Change. Through this program we teach children importance of tree planting  and environmental conservation. Most schools in Uganda have for quite a long time focused on teaching children simply to pass exams with less focus on environmental education. Our Schools Tree Planting component focuses on replenishing our natural heritage through tree planing with kids. We mainly plant fruit trees in Schools with the aim of providing fruits, shed, fresh air.

                                                

                        One School -One Green Street Campaign:

This is a consolidation of the School Tree Planting Program. It involves One School taking an initiative of planting trees along one street every single year. The project was devised after a realization that most streets in Uganda don't have an organized array of trees planted and yet no body seems to bother.

                                                      

                                            The Schools Tree Festival:

The Schools Tree Festival is a grand annual event that brings together all schools we work with in implementing the Schools Tree Project in Uganda. During this event, children showcase Plays, Poems, Drawings, Music and dance presentations on the theme of Climate Change. During this prestigious event, children come up wit creative ideas and solutions on ways to achieve a green, clean and sustainable future. Schools with impressive solutions are awarded. On top of that, Schools with the highest survival rates of trees are awarded medals and Certificates of Achievement.

                                             

                                  WiIdlife Clubs in Schools:

 Wildlife Clubs have for a longtime played a crucial role in promoting Environmental Education in schools. But hitherto, few schools still maintain this tradition and as a result, most children complete school without environmental education. We encourage formation of Environmental Clubs in Schools  with the aim of promoting Environmental consciousness in children. The Clubs help in conserving the trees we plant in schools by watering them , maintain Botanical gardens and tree nurseries in schools.
